DUKIYA: The Deep-Seated Lounge Chair

In Hausa, Dukiya means wealth — not simply material abundance, but the richness that comes with ease and sufficiency. This chair was designed as a physical expression of that quality. Bold and architecturally generous, the Dukiya features a uniquely thick-set backrest that curves deeply around the seat, creating a private enclosure that asks nothing of you but to rest. Fully upholstered with a low, recessed base, it settles into a room with quiet authority. Handcrafted in Lagos from premium materials to individual commission.

Design: A wide, oversized lounge chair with a low architectural profile, thick layered cushioning, and a curved, fully upholstered frame.

Ideal for: Master bedroom suites, private luxury lounges, and spacious living rooms in high-end residences.
