About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NYSC corps member to support and coordinate day-to-day procurement operations. The ideal candidate will manage supplier sourcing, purchase requests, material deliveries, and procurement documentation while ensuring timely availability of materials for production and other business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers of furniture materials, fittings, tools, equipment, and other operational supplies.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and value for money.
- Process purchase requests and prepare purchase orders for approval.
- Follow up on approved orders and coordinate timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor material requirements and work with the Production and Stores teams to prevent shortages.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies or damaged items.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and order trackers.
- Track pending orders and procurement expenses and prepare periodic reports.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures and approval processes.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be an NYSC corps member seeking or undergoing placement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good negotiation, numerical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently.
